BOXPLAY is the data controller for this website. Contact privacy@boxplay.app for any data protection matter.

Data we process

Player data from official game sheets: name, team, jersey number, position, birth year and match statistics.

Account data for signed-in editors and administrators: email address and role.

Technical data required for operations and security: IP address, timestamps and error logs.

Legal basis

Publishing match data and sports journalism relies on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) and the freedom of expression and information exemption (Art. 85).

Accounts are processed to perform a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). Non-essential cookies require consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

Youth sport and minors

We only publish data already made public in official game sheets, limited to sporting information. We never publish contact details, addresses, national ID numbers, health data or images of minors without explicit consent.

Guardians may request anonymisation of a player's name. Write to privacy@boxplay.app and we will handle the request promptly, normally within 30 days.

Retention

Match and statistics data is kept as a historical sports archive. Log data is deleted within 90 days. Account data is deleted when the account is closed.

Recipients and transfers

We use processors for hosting, database and AI text generation. Processing takes place in the EU/EEA or under appropriate safeguards. We never sell personal data.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability.
